Walk throughout the old town of Madrid, accompanied by our guide. In this tour, we visit the Madrid of the Austrians or the Habsburgs, to see the important Plaza Mayor, crossing the Arco de Cuchilleros (Arch of Cutlery), towards the ancient and winding streets of its surroundings.
From the Plaza Mayor, we head towards the Plaza de la Villa, which once was the core of medieval Madrid. There are the oldest buildings, such as the House of Cisneros, and the House of the Lujanes, with its tower, where the French king François I, was held prisoner. Also in this square, is the Casa de la Villa (House of the Villa), which was the building of the City Council of Madrid until 2007.
On Calle Mayor, we head for Bailén Street where we will visit the Cathedral of the Almudena, with its neoclassical exterior.
