Upon arrival we start with a walking tour of the old quarters of Toledo, to visit the Town Hall Square (Plaza del Ayuntamiento), and admire the facade of the impressive Cathedral and the old Palace of Justice, and the City Hall.
We'll continue our walk throughout the old Jewish quarter with its narrow streets, until we reach the Church of St. Tomé. This is a small old chapel, that exhibits the very famous painting of El Greco "The Burial of Count Orgaz".
We continue towards the old Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca- Which remains as a symbol of the coexistence of the “Three Cultures”. In the medieval Spain, people of three religions, and three different cultures, lived: Muslims, Christians and Jews.
The Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes that was conceived to be the mausoleum of the Catholic Monarchs, later reconsidered to be in Granada, after the reconquest in 1492.
We will continue with a panoramic tour with the bus around the outskirts with a short stop to admire the views from the other side of the river, and take photos with beautiful sights.
We’ll also visit a typical factory of Damasquino, well known handicraft art of Toledo inherited from the ancient craftsmen.
Use of comfortable shoes is recommeded.
