We can start the tour in Puerta del Sol for a short walk through Calle Preciados which is the the main shopping street in Madrid, and one of the busiest in the world.
Preciados is a walking street, where you can find stores of all kinds. This street has an L shape. This view shows the long leg of the L, where most of the stores are. The other leg of Preciados, has a combination of restaurant, bars and a few more stores.
Following this tour, we started in Puerta del Sol, and in a 5 minute walk through Calle Preciados, we will be at Plaza Callao, as shown in the next picture:
From Callao, we can walk on the Gran Via, to continue to the next plaza, which is called Red de San Luis, as it is unofficially known, where this blue Christmas Tree photo was taken:
Some 150-200 meters more, walking along the Gran Via, we have the Metropolis Building, where Gran Via, and Alcala Streets meet.Tags:christmas, madrid, spain, travel, walking tours
